A 2007 research study conducted by Remodeling magazine (a Hanley-Wood, LLC trade publication), looked at how much windows would add to a house's value if sold one year later. The study utilized professional opinions of more than 200 real estate agents and appraisers in the top remodel markets. In the markets served by Milgard Windows (West, Southwest, Mountain and Upper Midwest), the combined average rate of the window replacement cost recouped was 82.1%.
