This homeowner had a strong vision for his modern Hill Country home: Light, airy and an open concept. He wanted the windows to maximize the glass space and minimize the frame and stay within the project budget.
Choosing The Windows
Painted Style Line® Series vinyl windows were just what the project needed. He used Bronze exterior frames to accent the front of the home. The windows were a mix of Picture and Casements.

Site topography was a challenge as the home was being constructed on a rocky hill. It took a lot of digging to create the five levels of land required for the floor plan.
Casement Windows Do The Trick
“We are seeing a lot of Casement windows in current projects,” said Steed. “It’s really gaining in popularity. People just don’t want a center meeting rail obstructing their view. My customers are also looking for a higher quality window when creating their new homes. They also want operation ease and efficiency which is why I use Milgard.”
